This time round I had the grade 6’s work in black kokki on A3 white cartridge paper.  First I had them practise a leaf and a heart on scrap paper.  I went around correcting their mistakes as they practised.  Of course some forget these rules as they start the real picture.  The letters need to describe the shape or object.  For example a leaf shape will have the word leaf in it.  When the pencil outlines of the leaf are rubbed out the word’s shape must be that of the leaf.  The words need to crisp and clean with sharp edges.
