The grade 3’s created clay koru’s after a fabulous explanation about the New Zealand’s Koru symbol from a training teacher who actually lived in New Zealand for a long time.  She was very passionate about the New Zealand culture and pasted her enthusiasm to the children. The grade 3’s painted the raw but dry clay using acrylic paint.  The best were the ones painted with only one or two colours as the other option hid the beautiful clay patterns beneath a jumble of colours.
